Shillong, Mar 5: Rangkynsai SC booked their place in the final of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, in Polo today by beating Nongmensong CC by 45 runs in the second semifinal today.
Rangkynsai will thus meet Royal CC in the final on 7th March. Royal had beaten Sporting CC in the first semi yesterday.
Today started well for Nongmensong as they won the toss and immediately chose to field first. Rangkynsai’s top batters Ajay Duhan and Kishan Lyngdoh, however, made sure that their team put up a competitive total, with the scoreboard reading 260/9 in the allotted 45 overs.
Ajay registered a century, making 119 from 125 deliveries, while Kishan went at a faster pace in his 74 from 53. PM Santhosh took 2/35 in 9 overs and Bibek Poudel 2/41 in 9.
Arpit Bhatewara (59 from 73) tried to get Nongmensong close but they were all out for 215 in 42.4 overs. Ajay returned figures of 3/41 in 9 overs, while Sudhir Sahani claimed 3/43 in 8.4.
Ajay was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
