Shillong, Jul 23: Madan SCC started the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 with a rousing 3-0 victory against Nongrah in Group A at the SSA Stadium here today.
A minute’s silence was observed before the match for the late Winifred Majaw, a former Madan SCC player.
He died exactly a week ago in a swimming accident in Umiam Lake.
When it came to the action, Phermanbha Lyngdoh (53′, 70′) and Medonbanshan Kurkalang (61′) were the scorers, with all three goals coming in the second half.
