Shillong, Sep 17: Meghalaya lost to CBSE 2-1 in Pool A of the U-17 boys’ Subroto Cup 2026 in New Delhi yesterday.
Meghalaya had won their opening match against Uttar Pradesh the day before but couldn’t repeat that performance.
Nameshaphrang Pdahkasiej scored Meghalaya’s lone goal in yesterday’s match.
The state is being represented by OM Roy Memorial Higher Secondary School, who won the state-level competition in July.
Meghalaya have two matches left to go in the pool – against Delhi tomorrow and Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 19th September.
