Shillong, May 28: Smit earned their first three points of the U-18 Shillong Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Ryntih at Third Ground here today.
Pynshngainlang Kharbikhiew got the opening goal, with the ball looking like it clipped the foot of a defender before going into the net in the 11th minute. This also happened to be the 50th goal of the season.
Ryntih then equalised in the 74th minute through Baiaineh Wahlang, but Shanborlang Warlarpih scored the winning goal for Smit in the 87th minute.
Wahlang’s goal was the first for Ryntih this season, but the club have now lost three games on the trot and are the only remaining team yet to register a point. Smit, meanwhile, move to four points from three outings.
Tomorrow Mawkhar are scheduled to take on Rangdajied United at 3:45PM.
