Shillong, Jun 21: The finals of the East Khasi Hills district-level Subroto Cup will take place on 24th June, with the teams in the title matches finalised today.
The U-17 girls’ semifinals were held on Tuesday, with Umthli Higher Secondary School and Iewrynghep Secondary School reaching the final after beating Laitbah Union 2-0 and St Mary’s 3-0 respectively.
In the U-14 boys’ category, OM Roy Higher Secondary School will take on District Riwar Sepngi Higher Secondary School after they won 4-1 over Umpohliew Jingtip and 2-0 over Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School respectively in the last-four stage.
The U-17 boys’ semifinals were held today where H Elias Memorial Higher Secondary School defeated Tlongumniam Higher Secondary School 3-0, with goals scored by Ioanis Suchen (42′) and Benjamin Diengdoh (49′, 60′). The second semi saw Shillong College defeat OM Roy 5-4 in a penalty shootout.
All the finals will be held at the JN Stadium.
