Shillong, Apr 4: Youngstar FC and Khliehmawlieh Nongstoin completed the last-four line-up of the 1st Shortimai Knockout Football Tournament, organised by the Seng Samla Smit Pyllun and Smit SC, by winning their respective quarterfinal matches today.

Both games were taken to tiebreakers after intense regular time contests.

Batskhem Thangkhiew scored for Youngstar in the 8th minute but Real Mythics equalised in the 61st via Pynshai Kharsyntiew. The penalty shootout was then won by Youngstar 4-3 and their player Aibiang Nongneng (pictured) was named man-of-the-match.

The second contest also saw the shootout decided 4-3, this time in favour of Khliehmawlieh of Nongstoin over Umphrup SC. Both sides got their chances to score but neither were able to convert and full time finished 0-0.

The first semifinal will be held on 9th April between Paraladei Smit and Lamare SC at 1PM. These two sides won their quarterfinal fixtures on 31st March.
