Shillong, Jun 29: Two kickboxers of the Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association, Shaiborlang Lyngdoh Mawphlang and Vishal Rai, are part of the Indian contingent at the 2nd Uzbekistan Open, which begins today.
Mawphlang is a resident of Nongrah Dongktieh and Rai of Lumshatsngi Bishnupur.
A 30-member WAKO India national team will be participating at the event, which begins today and concludes on 3rd July.
Kickboxing categories include K-1, full contact, low kick, kick light, light contact and point fighting.
Mawphlang and Rai had undergone two rounds of selection by WAKO India in Chennai earlier in the year.
