Shillong, Dec 2: Shillong Lajong defeat Niaw Wasa 3-0 in a first round match of the Invitation Knock Out Football Tournament 2022-23 match at New Nongstoin yesterday.
Figo Syndai scored for Lajong in the first half and then again in the 77th minute. Atlanson Kharmaw then added the third in the 84th minute.
Syndai and one other player, Shano Tariang, look like they’ve joined from Langsning. If this is a long-term change, it could signal a real attempt by Lajong to strengthen their side.
The club had announced in October that Kharmaw (Rangdajied United), Chanmitre Thma (Nangkiew Irat) and Guidle Syiemlieh (Nangkiew Irat) had switched over to SLFC.
The next match in the tournament will be between Kith United and Himalaya Sporting Club of Sikkim on 9th December at 1:30PM.
