Shillong, Aug 18: Oste Phi Oiñ (A) won the first quarterfinal of the Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong, today, by beating Sten United 3-0.
Risuk Malngiang (35′), Wanlamsuk Nongkhlaw (45′) and Lastborn Iawphniaw (75′) scored in a dominant performance by Oste Phi Oiñ.
Nongkhlaw was named Player of the Match and received his award from coach and retired sports administrator Hering Shangpliang.
Tomorrow, a pre-quarterfinal match will take place between Jaguar FC and Lumdaitkhla FC at 2:30PM.
