Shillong, Sep 5: Lamlynti FC of Madanlyngkhi defeated Mawklot SC 3-0 to consolidate their hold on first place in Group C of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
The other match of the day, also in the same group, saw Pynthorbah SC edge Umsohsun SC 1-0.
Lamlynti scored twice in the first half through Ricky Mawlong (5′) and Batskhem Thongnirit (20′) before Pyrkhatjanai Kharkongor (70′) added another towards the end of the match. Kharkongor has now scored one goal in each of Lamlynti’s four matches.
In the earlier contest, Juviel Kharkongor (50′) scored the only goal of the game for Pynthorbah over Umsohsun.
With four wins in as many matches, Lamlynti have a perfect 12 points. Pynthorbah (who have played three games) now have 6 points, while Umsohsun and Mawklot both have 1 each from four outings, with the latter worse off on goal difference.
