Shillong, Feb 6: Umphrup SC won the opening match of the second edition of the Shortimai Knockout Football Tournament 1-0 over Laitmynrieng SC in Smit yesterday.
The tournament was formally declared open by the Sordar Shnong of Smit Pyllung, Pynshingdor Lyngdoh Nongbri.
Umphrup’s goal was scored by Shariwell Lyngdoh in the 51st minute.
The next matchday will be 10th February. Two games are scheduled for that day. In the first, at 11AM, Nelson United will face Mylliem Lum, while Lumkynsai will take on 2 Tourist (Syntung) at 2PM.
