Shillong, Feb 24: Royal CC thrashed Langsning CC by 108 runs in Group A of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here today.
Langsning won the toss and fielded first. They were able to restrict Royal to under 200, bowling them out for 198 in 38.4 overs. Pringsang hit 48 from 39 balls, while Swastik Chettri made 47 from 78, both just short of a half-century. Rony Nongrum claimed 3/49 in 8 overs.
In the chase, Sikander Kumar (4/23 in 4.1 overs) and Bipin Ray (3/16 in 8) tore through the Langsning batting line-up and they were bowled out for a mere 90 in 22.1 overs.
Bipin (pictured left) was named Player of the Match.
Yesterday’s fixture between United XI and Raj Bhavan in Group B was washed out due to rain.
Tomorrow’s match will be between Donkin SCC and Sporting CC in Group A.
