Shillong, Jul 23: Two Meghalayan kickboxers – Daniella IW Mylliemngap and Medariphylla L Nongbri – won gold medals at the Seniors & Masters Men/Women National Kickboxing
Meghalaya also bagged a further three silver and four bronze medals at the July 16 to 20 event, which was organised by the Kickboxing Association of Chhattisgarh under the aegis of the WAKO India Kickboxing Federation.
Daniella of Upper Lumparing and Medariphylla of Smit Lemthaw won their gold medals in the K1 Rules -60kg and -56kg categories respectively.
The silver medallists were Fourwell Khongmalai (Kick Light Veteran, -54kg), Lumjingsuk Iawphniaw (Low Kick -51kg) and Kynsaimiki Soyoo (K1 Rules -63kg).
The bronze medallists were Dipuline R Marak (K1 Rules -75kg), Sakibanshai Nongbri (K1 Rules -51kg), Adialmarphi Nongdhar (K1 Rules -51kg) and Gregory Ferando Sohtun (K1 Rules -67kg).
The MSKA sent a 15-member contingent to the championship, led by Khrawjutang M Kharsyntiew, a licensed kickboxing coach.
