Shillong, Dec 20: Nangkiew Irat SC defeated Jaguar FC 2-0 in the second quarterfinal of the 4th Shortimai Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Smit SC, today.
The Jaguars were doing nicely, dominating the action but were unable to score due to the sterling effort of Daemitre Dan (pictured left), the Nangkiew Irat goalkeeper.
In the end, it was Kitboklang Pale (42′) and Remark Kharmalki (60′) who found the back of the net for Nangkiew Irat, giving them victory and a place in the last-four.
Daemitre, who was Best Goalkeeper in the second edition of this same tournament, was named Player of the Match. He received his award from Smit SC Vice-President Shiningstar Lynshiang.
The next quarterfinal will be between Smit SC and Mawlai Impact on 23rd December at 2PM.
