Shillong, Jan 5: The Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2025 began today with three matches at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here.
Pay For Right Football Academy began with the biggest win of them all, an 8-0 result over debutants Mawkasiang in Group B. Ridalin Suting (11′, 14′, 53′) and Makrisha Songthiang (19′, 51′, 66′) each scored a hat-trick for last season’s runners-up, while Aitihun Majaw (48′) and Nisilia Majaw (70′) scored one each.
Earlier, in Group A, reigning champions Laitkor beat Nongthymmai 2-0 with goals from Darishisha Kharlyngdoh (19′) and Cynthia Mylliem Umlong (35′).
The last match of the day, in Group C, saw Rangdajied United beat Nongrim Hills 5-0 with a goal each for Bainangsan Langbnang (17′), Baiahunshisha Lyngdoh Nongbri (26′), Ideibanrishisha Kharpran (40′), Inrilaidor Khongthaw (47′) and Rimika Kongkai (62′).
