Shillong, Feb 21: Jaskirat Singh Sachdeva performed spectacularly with bat and ball to lead Nongmynsong CC to a 15-run victory against Royal CC in Group A of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, in Polo yesterday.
Royal won the toss and fielded first and they were able to dismiss Nongmynsong for 231 in 43 overs. The total would have been a lot lower but Jaskirat struck a find 78 from 99 deliveries. Raj Biswa claimed 4/23 in 8 overs and Bipin Ray 2/42 in 8 overs.
Raj led the way in the chase with 59 from 35 balls, while Reshabh Dipak made 50 from 41 as Royal CC had no trouble with the required run rate. However, they expended too many wickets and were dismissed for 216 in 36.1 overs. Jaskirat bowled well for figures of 5/23 in 9 overs and Himan C Phukan bagged 2/48 in 8.
Jaskirat was named Player of the Match.
