Shillong, Jul 10: Sei La Sap defeated Laitlyngkot by a comfortable 4-1 margin in the third quarterfinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
This match had originally been scheduled for 8th July but had been postponed due to heavy rain that day.
Melbertson Kharbangar (10′), Leo Ferdinand Marbaniang (47′) and Sashang Gurung (63′) scored for Sei La Sap, who also benefitted from a 73rd minute own goal in the 80-minute match. Laitlyngkot’s lone strike was by Nangtei Rynjah (67′).
The other three teams to reach the semis are Golflink, Mawpdang and Weilyngkut Area FCC. All four semifinalists will be promoted to next season’s Third Division.
The semifinals will be held on 14th and 15th July, both beginning at 3:30PM.
In the first fixture Golflink will take on Mawpdang, followed by Sei La Sap against Weilyngkut the following day. The final will take place on 18th July.
