Shillong, Jul 16: Kharang soundly defeated Iaitylli 6-0 in Relegation Zone Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Desterful Lyngkring (13′), Balapynshai Nongneng (28′, 40′), Gilbert Marboh (62′), Welbok Iawphniaw (63′) and Shimpor Nongsiej (80’+2) scored for Kharang in the 80-minute game.
The other two matches were both draws.
In Relegation Zone Group A, Umphyrnai versus Rynjah finished 1-1. Lurshai Wankhar (18′) put Umphyrnai ahead only for Stephan (only one name provided) to equalise in the 19th.
At the MFA Ground, Mawlynrei and Lumparing traded the lead in Group B.
Mawlynrei got their noses out in front through Banjop Mawthoh (9′) but Rioneld Lyngsiang (14′) equalised five minutes later. Banjop (20′) then scored another but Lumparing drew level thanks to Pynbianglang Nongkhlaw (40’+2) before half time.
The second half saw two more goals. This time Lumparing took the lead in the 71st via Rioneld but Andrew Marboh (74′) levelled three minutes later.
