Shillong, Sep 28: Malki were leading Laitkyrhong two goals to nil but the latter fought their way back to draw 2-2 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2026 at the SSA Stadium here today.
Rigelstar Suting (2′) found the back of the net early for Malki and Rishanskhem Nongkynrih (52′) doubled the lead in the early part of the second half.
However, Laitkyrhong came back and levelled with goals from Isharwer Mukhim (77′) and Edmonwell Mukhim (90’+2).
This was the third straight draw for Laitkyrhong this season, though the other two were both goalless. For Malki, they have conceded two goals in each of their three games played.
Malki remain in second place, now with 4 points, while Laitkyrhong are fourth with 3.
