Shillong, Jul 30: These are the results of the Second Division League 2023 football tournament, organised by the Pyndengumiong District Sports Association of Eastern West Khasi Hillsfrom yesterday at Madan Dommawlum.
Lyngdoh Maram SC first defeated Myriaw SC 5-0 thanks to a brace by Albirth Kharjana (15′, 64′) and single goals by Dibor Kharjana (2′), Tyngshain Kharjana (53′) and Borsing L Mawlong (75′).
The second match also witnessed five goals but the result was 4-1 in favour of Mawkarah SC against Nala Rympei SC.
Mawkarah led at half time with a Damut Nongrang (42′) goal and his team mate Nickstar Nongrang (64′) added another in the second half before Nala Rympei pulled a goal back through Dhoni Thangkhiew (69′). However, Mawkarah pressed on and found two more goals via Tenbok (first name only provided) in the 80th minute and Banikstar Mawblei in the 83rd.
