Shillong, Apr 1: Meghalaya won three bronze medals at the recently-concluded Karate India Organisation’s U-21/Senior National Championship 2025 in Hyderabad.
Kynjailin L Mawnai (U-21 Women -50kg) and Larisha Kurbah (Senior Women -55kg) were the two female karatekas who won bronze in kumite.
The team of Gideon Tympuin, Ferdinand Samkupar Rani and Gregorwilson Makdoh took bronze in the men’s team kata.
The three-day event ran from 27th to 29th March and the 15 Meghalaya karatekas were sent by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association and were led by coach Donboklang Lyngdoh and manager Rodrick Syiem.
