Shillong, Aug 31: Nongthymme SC and Umrasiang United SC narrowly won their Round of 16 matches in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Third Division 2026 in Khliehriat today.
Umrasiang edged Lumputhoi SCSC 1-0 with a 31st minute goal by Shynna Rymbai.
It was closer still in the first match of the day, where Nongthymme won via penalty shootout against Marshaphrang YSC Donaskur.
Regulation time had ended without a goal scored and this took the match to penalties where Nongthymme prevailed 7-6.
