Shillong, Nov 1: The office of the East Khasi Hills District Sports Officer (DSO) opened an Advance Centre under the state government’s Mission Football here on Tuesday.
The purpose of the centre is to help promote players, both girls and boys, from the Grassroot Centres in East Khasi Hills once they cross 12 years. There are 60 children in all enrolled at the centre.
This centre will start from the first week of November at the JN Sports Complex. Two coaches will supervise the children under the overall guidance of renowned youth coach Bobby Nongbet.
Sports & Youth Affairs Director Matsiewdor War Nongbri and DSO Daniel Dann were present on Tuesday for the launch.
