Shillong, Mar 23: Star former Meghalaya athlete Binningstar Lyngkhoi will lead a team of six runners from the state at the National Cross Country Championship, which will be held in Kohima on 26th March.

Lyngkhoi, who was the lead Indian long distance runner until around 10 years ago, will act as coach and manager of the team.

There was a small sendoff for the Meghalaya runners today, with Meghalaya State Olympic Association Working President John F Kharshiing, MSOA General Secretary Finely Pariat (also the Meghalaya Athletics Association Secretary) and MSOA Treasurer Ksan Warjri present.

The runners are Kresstarjune Pathaw, Hepstarly Lyngkhoi, Daniel Wahlang, Jomingstar Ramsiej, Michael Ramsiej and Okitlang Syiemlieh.
