Shillong, Jun 9: Rinalis Ingti made history for Meghalaya at the ongoing National School Games by winning a bronze medal in the high jump yesterday.
Ingti, from Ri-Bhoi district, cleared a height of 1.55 metres to win the first medal in athletics for the state.
The 66th National School Games began on 6th June and will run until 13th June in Delhi, Bhopal and Gwalior. The Games are being organised by the School Games Federation of India.
Meghalaya has sent a 62-member contingent. Besides athletics, the state is also competing in football, basketball, shooting, badminton and boxing.
