Shillong, Feb 4: Royal Challengers Mawsynram celebrated an 8-wicket victory yesterday in the pre-quarterfinals of the 5th Mawten T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 over Mawmitbah SC to advance to the next round.
Mawmitbah won the toss at the Mawpyllun Playground in South West Khasi Hills and elected to bat first were were bundled out for 96 in 17.2 overs. Pynkhlain Marwein top-scored with 32, while the trio of Rahul Shah, Rohit Rai and Robin Chettri bagged three wickets each for the Mawsynram team.
In reply, Royal Challengers Mawsynram chased down the target in just 12.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.
Silvester Mylliemngap struck 36 and Kiewkupar Dksiar 31 in the winning chase. Rohit was named Player of the Match.
