Shillong, Feb 10: Manbhakupar Iawphniaw has joined NEROCA from Rangdajied United FC as the Manipur-based side attempt to regain promotion to the I-League.
NEROCA have so far played two matches in the current I-League 2 season, losing one and winning one. Manbha wasn’t involved in either game.
His new side announced the move yesterday. “A new force up front!” the club said on social media. “Welcome versatile striker Manbha Iawphniaw to the orange brigade family. Let’s chase greatness together!”
For whatever reason, he wasn’t a regular in the Rangdajied starting line-up during the ongoing Shillong Premier League, making only four appearances in the starting XI this season.
Manbha had previously played for local sides Mawlai SC and Ryntih FC as well as Kickstart FC, FC Bengaluru United, Minerva Academy FC and the Meghalaya state team.
NEROCA were relegated to I-League 2 after finishing in the bottom two of I-League 2023-24.
