Shillong, Jul 19: Narwan SC and Youngstar SSC Huroi reached the quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Second Division 2025 by winning their respective Round of 16 matches in Khliehriat yesterday.
Youngstar drew 1-1 with Tuber Shohshrieh SC but won the tiebreaker 4-2. Wallamborlang Lamin Gadew (30′) and Ribait Bang (77′) scored for Youngstar and Tuber Shohshrieh respectively in regulation time.
Later, Narwan held off Tongseng YSC 2-1. Miki Suiam (18′) and Thomas Langstang (72′) scored for Narwan. One of Narwan’s players also conceded an own goal in the 70th minute.
