Shillong, Sep 5: The two Group B matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025 yesterday both ended 1-1.
The two games involved Nongmensong and Umphyrnai as well as Smit and Marbisu. Incidentally, even the later Shillong Premier League 2025 match also ended 1-1.
Sharai Rainia (27′) gave Umphyrnai a first half lead before Nongmensong equalised through Kevin Diengdoh (71′). The start of the second half was delayed due to serious waterlogging after a sharp thunderstorm.
Later, after a goalless first half, Donboklang Synrem (70′) scored for Marbisu before Pynkhlain Nongrum (75′) equalised just five minutes later for Smit.
Five out of the seven matches so far in Group B have ended in draws. Things are so even that it is impossible to separate Marbisu and Nongmensong (see table) and both thus share third place for now.
