Shillong, Jul 8: Experienced goalkeeper Aibormiky Suchiang has recently cleared his Goalkeeping Level 1 certification from the All India Football Federation.

Aibormiky, from Jowai, got his Level 1 certificate after attending and passing a course in West Bengal from 5th to 13th June. The certification is issued in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation.

In addition, last year, the goalie received an AFC C Licence. The 34-year-old also holds a National Institution of Sports diploma in football coaching, which he earned in 2020.

He is the first football coach from Jaintia Hills to have completed all three certifications.

Aibormiky has played for Rangdajied United (pictured), Niaw Wasa (he was with them when the won the inaugural Meghalaya State League in 2018) and most recently Musniang.
