Shillong, Aug 31: Meghalaya finished in overall second place at the 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2026, which was held in Guwahati.
The championship ran from 25th to 30th August at the Kahilipara Sports Shooting Range of the Assam Police in Guwahati, an official press release stated.
The Shooting Association of Meghalaya finished as runners-up with a final tally of 13 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze medals, 37 in all, once again placing the state among the top performers of the region, trailing only host state Assam.
Meghalaya were also second last year, though with a bigger haul of 61 medals.
The release did not give details of the shooters who represented Meghalaya.
