Shillong, Sep 11: The Meghalaya Football Association today revealed the names of its 20-member squad that will take part in the Dr Talimeren Ao National Football Championship for Junior Girls (Tier 2) 2026-27.

The team was given a warm send-off at the MFA Ground here today, with senior MFA officials, led by Vice-President Cliff Nongrum, present.

The team will be coached by Haphi Kharkongor and will play their matches in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, which will be the host venue for all Tier 2 fixtures.

Meghalaya have been drawn in Group C with Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Nagaland. Their first match will be against J&K on 18th September.

Tier 2 consists of 18 teams split into two groups of five and two groups of four. The group winners will progress to the semifinals and the two finalists will be promoted to Tier 1 next season.
