Shillong, May 23: As is usually the case in this annual competition, teams from the Khasi-Jaintia Hills snapped up all the spots for the semifinal round of the Chief Minister’s State Level U-12 Football Tournament, which will take place tomorrow.

In today’s action Daiahunlang Syiemiong scored a hat-trick for South West Khasi Hills (SWKH) in their 6-0 triumph over North Garo Hills (NGH) in the girls’ division, while West Khasi Hills (WKH) also won through by the same margin over East Garo Hills (EGH); Iwankahashwa Dkhar scored a hat-trick for the winners in this game. The final girls’ match of the day saw Ri-Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills (WJH) play out a goalless draw.

The boys of Ri-Bhoi and WJH were also in action today, but in this case the former were comfortable 4-1 victors. SWKH also eased past South Garo Hills (SGH) 3-0 and, lastly, WKH were 2-0 winners over East Jaintia Hills (EJH).

Girls – South West Khasi Hills vs West Jaintia Hills at 9AM; West Khasi Hills vs East Khasi Hills at 11AM
Boys – Ri-Bhoi vs West Khasi Hills at 9AM; South West Khasi Hills vs East Khasi Hills at 11AM
