Shillong, Jun 22: After the rousing success of the first full day of Meghalaya Baby League (MBL) 2018, the action will return tomorrow with six teams in action at Polo Ground.
Fifteen matches will be held at three venues – Third Ground, the JN Stadium and the Futsal Ground – at the JN Sports Complex.
The MBL 2018 is the joint initiative of Tata Trusts, the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA) and All India Football Federation.
The first games will be between ENE Falcons and Kickstart FCC Rhinos in the Western Conference from 10AM. Last Saturday Kickstart Rhinos lost all of their five fixtures to Langsning Greenergy Lions, while the Falcons won two and lost three against Mawlatbah SC Hawks. Langsning Greenergy Lions and the Hawks will then face off starting from 1PM.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference, Nongtrai Cheetahs will go up against Wahlakhiat Bulls from 12:30PM. The Bulls won all five of their matches last weekend over JNS Jaguars, while Nongtrai Cheetahs drew once and lost four of theirs against Nongthymmai GC Scorpions.
All the teams last week displayed fantastic sporting spirit and were very well-supported by friends and family, which made for an excellent atmosphere throughout the day and the MFA welcomes all to come and cheer on the children once again tomorrow.
