Shillong, May 23: Shillong Lajong earned their second of two back-to-back victories in Group C of the Junior League final round with a 2-1 win over ATK at the Kalyani Stadium in Kolkata today.
Gladdy Nelcen Kharbuli scored a quick brace in the 33rd and 39th minutes, which was on either side of ATK’s lone goal from Ningombam Engson Singh (35′).
With six points Lajong are at the top of Group C. ATK and Sudeva have three points each. ATK had beaten Sudeva 3-2 on Tuesday, while Sudeva defeated Delhi Dynamos 7-1 today. Lajong had also won against the Dynamos, beating them 4-0 on Tuesday.
SLFC will play their final group game against Sudeva on Saturday at 8:30AM at the same venue.
