Shillong, Jul 4: The Meghalaya Football Association hosted an All India Football Federation North East Grassroots Instructors Course at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, Shillong, which concluded on Tuesday.

The course began on 27th June and concluded on 2nd July. A total of 14 coaches from seven North East states, including Meghalaya, underwent training, which was led by AIFF Head of Grassroots and Instructor Anju Turambekar.

One of those who took part was former India international footballer Gouramangi Singh (seated far right), who also once played club football for Meghalaya side Rangdajied United during the 2013-14 season.

This six-day course was an advanced programme and the participating coaches were selected from those who successfully completed Grassroots Leaders Courses that were held in the recent months, including one that was organised in Shillong in May.
