Shillong, Jul 11: The weather dried up enough for Third Division matches to be held today, with all three Group D games taking place at Polo Ground.
In the first contest Mawreng turned in a 1-0 victory over Sanmer, with M Sun scoring in the 21st minute.
The second game then saw Lawmali Pyllun cruise past Mawkriah West 3-0. S Pyngrope (38’), S Warjom (54’) and D Khongwang (66’) were the scorers.
The final match saw Nongmynsong edge Gorkha Association 2-1. Here E Thabah (17’) and R Ryntathiang (68’) scored for Nongmynsong on either side of T Marbaniang’s 37th minute goal for Gorkha.
After two rounds both Lawmali and Mawreng have six points each, but Lawmali are at the top of the table thanks to a better goal difference (+5 to +2).
