Shillong, Jul 20: Three matches were held today in Group D of the Third Division at Second Ground, Polo.
The first match was a 2-2 draw between Lawmali Pyllun and Sanmer. K Pahsyntiew scored Sanmer’s first goal of the season in just the third minute by Lawmali cancelled that out with an 11th minute equaliser by D Khongwang. P Marbaniang put Sanmer into the lead once more, in the 38th minute, but S Warjom equalised for Lawmali in the 45th minute and each team took home a point.
In the second game Nongmynsong came from a goal behind to defeat Mawkriah West 2-1. J Nongbri put Mawkriah in front in the eighth minute with his side’s first goal of the tournament, but Nongmynsong came back with goals from R Ryntathiang (34′) and A Makri (57′).
The third fixture was a goalless draw between table toppers Mawreng and Gorkha Association.
