Shillong, Jul 22: Mawkhar came through as 2-0 winners over Imson in their First Division match at the JN Stadium here today.
J Mylliemngap saw Mawkhar take the lead in the 33rd minute before W Hynniewta doubled the lead in the 51st via a penalty kick.
Imson had added pressure in the last few minutes after they were reduced to 10 men, but Mawkhar couldn’t make their advantage in numbers count.
Tomorrow Sawmer are scheduled to face Lawsohtun at 3:45PM.
