Shillong, Jul 24: Three Group C matches of the Third Division were held today at Second Ground, Polo.
In the first Mawpat beat Umlyngka 2-0 with two goals scored before the half time whistle by S Kharumnuid (16′) and O Kharumnuid (35′). The latter was the 100th goal of the season across all four groups.
In the second game Kharang swept past Lapalang 3-0. K Kshiar scored a brace (5′, 33′) on either side of B Umsong’s 29th minute goal. These were the first goals all season for Kharang, who had lost all three of their previous fixtures.
The third game saw Laitlyngkot edge Lumparing 1-0. The goal was scored by I Lyngdoh in the third minute.
After four rounds Laitlyngkot and Mawpat have 10 points each. These two teams will meet in the fifth and final round on Saturday.
