Shillong, Dec 29: H Elias Higher Secondary School and Shillong College Higher Secondary Section won their second matches of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports 2019-20 National Football Finals in Navi Mumbai today.
The two sides had also won their opening games on Friday.
In the two morning fixtures H Elias defeated Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School of Delhi 3-0 thanks a hat-trick by Henryford Nongneng in the Junior Boys category and Shillong College then beat Fr Agnel HSS of Goa 2-0.
Remark Kharmalki (26′) put Senior Boys category defending champions Shillong College in front via a penalty and Kitboklang Khyriem doubled the lead after Kharmalki fed him a neat through ball in the 78th.
In the 7AM kick-off Nongneng got his first goal for H Elias after Gladdy Kharbuli chipped a free-kick into the opposition box, which Nengnong headed into the top corner of the net in the seventh minute.
Ten minutes later Kharbuli assisted Nengnong again with another chip into the box. This time Nengnong steered his way past one defender before smashing the ball into the net.
H Elias were then awarded a penalty, which Nengnong converted for his hat-trick in the 24th minute and the match ended 3-0.
