Shillong, Apr 6: Mawkhar today announced two new signings in the local inter-club transfer window – that of Justerwell Tham (left) and Aibanraplang Dohling (right).
Tham joins from Nongrim Hills, for whom he played for in the 2019 Shillong Premier League, while Dohling makes the switch from Fourth Division side Green Age Club.
Mawkhar won the 2019 First Division, thus gaining promotion to the SPL, which was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while Green Age were unable to claw their way up out of the Fourth Division in 2019. Meanwhile, Nongrim, who were relegated at the end of 2019, will be in this season’s First Division.
Tham scored just the one goal for Nongrim Hills, but it was an absolute scorcher (watch it on our YouTube channel below).
Dohling, meanwhile, showed himself to be an exciting talent and, if his 2019 season was anything to go by, deserves a shot in the higher divisions. He had also scored one goal for Green Age but looked capable of many more.
