Shillong, Apr 10: Kenstar Kharshong was one of seven players who completed formalities to join Ryntih for the local football season yesterday as part of the Shillong Sports Association’s inter-club transfer window.

The others were Hardycliff Nongbri, Dawanchwa Challam, Mebankhraw Wahlang, Ronaldkydon Lyngdoh Nonglait, Pynshong Shadap and Bickyson Kharkongor. Except for Kharshong and Kharkongor, the others had agreed terms with Ryntih during last year’s cancelled season but have completed the paperwork for the SSA’s Shillong Premier League now.

Kharshong returned to Shillong some months back after Kerala Blasters did not include him in their Indian Super League squad.

Other teams also made several signings yesterday, like Langsning (eight), Mawlai (17), Nongthymmai (12) and Nongrim Hills (14). Mawlai have been promoted to the SPL, Nongthymmai to the First Division and Nongrim relegated to the First Division. Two-time champions Langsning, of course, are in the SPL.

Expect plenty more transfers before the window closes.
