Shillong, Feb 17: Mylliem defeated Pohkseh 1-0 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Both sides came into today’s game knowing that a win would guarantee a place in the semifinals and Mylliem came through thanks to a fourth minute goal by Shembhalang Langbnang. This was the 60th goal of the division this year.
After playing their full complement of five matches, Mylliem have 10 points, while Pohkseh end their campaign on 7. Pohkseh will not be able to qualify for the last-four stage as Marbisu also have 7 points as well as head-to-head advantage.
