Shillong, Apr 20: Mawlai won by 18-0 against Thynroit in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s League at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
The Group A match had two hat-trick scorers – Rushia Dkhar (1′, 5′, 17′, 26′, 35′, 41′, 44′) and Sunalinda Iawren (11′, 19′, 28′, 31′, 38′). The other scorers were Napale Roiki Lytan (9′), Bahunlang Synrem (10′, 30′), Rivilda Rynjah (25′) and Ibashisha Khongwet (43′, 54′).
Meanwhile, in Group B, Lawei SC defeated Nongthymmai 2-0 thanks to first half goals by Sany Khyriemmujai (12′) and Narola Kharkamni (17′).
There will be no match in the Women’s League until Saturday as the men’s First Division resumes tomorrow with a game between Smit and Sawmer at 3:30PM.
