Shillong, May 30: Mangkara Diengdoh (featured photo) smashed an unbeaten half-century and took three wickets with the ball as Sohra Combine won their match in the East Khasi Hills’ Cricket Association’s T20 Tournament today.

Sohra Combine batted first after winning the toss against Hurdles CC of Mawsynram and posted 144/6 in their 20 overs. Player-of-the-match Diengdoh produced a stunning 69 not out off 39 deliveries, while Bamanbha Shangpliang took 3/18.

In the chase, Hurdles were dismissed for 131 in 19.4 overs to lose by 13 runs. Sandy Stone Kharshandi struck 44 off 32 but Garry Kynta (4/18) and Diengdoh (3/21) were excellent with the ball for the Sohra team.

Earlier, Mawryngkneng CC were comfortable eight-wicket victors against Mawlong CC.

Mawlong won the toss and batted first but they were bundled out for 93 in 18.3 overs with Hezekaiah War the top scorer with 18. Marremdor Kharsati bagged 3/21.

The chase proved to be pretty easy for Mawryngkneng, who lost just two wickets as they knocked off the required runs in 10.3 overs. Player-of-the-match Nangshai Nongpluh top-scored with 34 while War claimed 2/18.
