Shillong, Nov 1: The Invitation Knock Out Football Tournament 2022-23, organised by the New Nongstoin Sports, Social & Cultural Club began yesterday with United SC defeating Khliehmawlieh 3-0.
United SC are a Kolkata-based team that played in the I-League until the end of the 2013-14 season.
They scored in yesterday’s Round of 16 match through Rahul Roy (14′), Samuel Nekati (30′) and Subrata Murmu (58′).
The next fixture is scheduled 7th November between Meghalaya Police and Golden Lion FC of Rymbai at 1:30PM.
The other participating teams are Mawlai SC, PSA of Guwahati, PFR Academy, Assam Rifles, Ri Bhoi United FC, NACO of Imphal, Kith United FC, Himalaya Sporting of Sikkim, Shillong Lajong FC, Gauhati Town Club, Assam Regiment and ASEB of Assam.
