Shillong, Jul 17: Sten United FC’s match with Umeit FC went all the way to penalties in the what was the ninth match of the Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong, today.
Regulation time ended 1-1 before Sten United won 5-3 in the tiebreaker.
It was Umeit who had taken the lead in the 51st minute via Seibot Lyngdoh (51′) but this was cancelled out just three minutes later by Hupstone Sten (54′).
The next match will be between Jaguar FC and Ibarial FC on 22nd July.
