Shillong, Jul 30: PFR Football Academy defeated Mawtneng SC 2-0 in the 12th match of the Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong, yesterday.
Both goals were scored in the second half of the game, first by Samlang Rympei (64′) and then by Fairming Suting (80′).
The next match will be between Meghalaya Police and Mawkhar Mylliem SC on 2nd August, which will the last fixture of the first round.
The pre-quarterfinals will then begin on 5th August between Risyon FC and Shillong Lajong FC reserves.
