Shillong, Aug 5: Risyon SC reached the quarterfinal round of the Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong, today after edging Shillong Lajong reserves 3-2 on penalties.
Regulation time ended 1-1 after a first half goal by Risyon and an equaliser in the 88th minute by Hamedamanbha Wahlang of Lajong.
Tremiki Lamurong, who scored for Risyon, was named Player of the Match.
The next match will take place on 10th August between Benris FC and Galaxy FC (B)
